Hoarding Case Update

We are grateful to our donors and the community for their generous outpouring of support as we care for the dogs we received from the recent hoarding tragedy in Venice.  We're happy to report that the first group of dogs was adopted on Tuesday, May 8th.  We continue to monitor the medical needs of the remaining dogs and our staff and foster families are working with them on socialization and behavioral skills.  A press release will be issued to announce the next round of adoptions.  Please keep checking our Web site and the local news for updates.  We have many fabulous dogs and cats that are just as deserving and looking for a forever home.  Some have been here longer than six months and they are available now!  You can view all animals available for adoption by using the adoption tab at the top of the page or visit us Tuesday through Friday from 11am - 4:30pm or Saturday from 10am-3:30pm.

A special thank you to the following media for their coverage and support:
Herald-Tribune, Sun Newspapers, Bradenton Herald, WINK News Fort Myers, NBC2 Fort Myers, ABC7 Sarasota and SNN6.
