Suncoast Humane Society is looking for a Full-time Veterinary Technician.  Must have excellent management and customer service skills with at least one year experience in a veterinary hospital.  Responsible for maintaining all medical records, scheduling appointments, and overseeing all basic medical care. Working knowledge in Microsoft, Access database systems a plus. Hours Tues - Sat, 8am - 5pm. Please email resume to Stephanie Roberts, Director of Operations, at sroberts@humane.org

Suncoast Humane Society is looking for a Full-time Volunteer Coordinator.  Must be very organized, have excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast paced environment.  Must have working knowledge in Microsoft, Access database systems a plus. Position will be responsible for recruiting volunteers, giving volunteer orientations, and overseeing all volunteer activities.  Days required are Tuesday through Saturday, 8am until 5pm. 2nd Annual Toast to Venice At the Historic Venice Train Depot on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 5:00-8:00 pm. Wine Tasting, Live Auctions, Live Music and Savory Samples from Local Chefs. Tickets on Sale for $25 at Suncoast Humane Society (6781 San Casa Drive, Englewood) and the Venice SHS Thrift Store (656 Tamiami Trail, Venice. Rialto Shopping Center). Presented by the Venice-Nokomis Rotary in support of programs that make our community stronger & a wonderful place to live: Suncoast Humane Society, Habitat for Humanity, Shelter Box & youth projects including: Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCA, Venice Little Theater, Boy Scouts, SPARCC, Venice Little League, Venice Art Center & Venice Symphony.

Low Cost Vaccination & Microchip Clinic

We will be holding a Low Cost Vaccination and Microchip Clinic on February 20th between 8:00 am and Noon at our North Port Thrift Store (14942 Tamiami Trail South, North Port).
